What Really Happened?

Chicago White Legend Frank Thomas was added to the Memoriam section on Fox news earlier the morning of Friday that got the eyes of the legend himself and many others.

In the footage, Frank Thomas was speaking during his National Baseball Hall of Fame enshrinement with “Frank Thomas (1968-2023)” appearing in the corner.

Frank Thomas MLB Legend who was also an analyst formerly at Fox Sports himself took the issue on Twitter and posted his amazing smiley picture by saying.

Fox News issued an apology and made the following statement:

“We need to quickly issue a correction in the In Memoriam feature that we showed just a few minutes ago. We misidentified the late Frank Thomas, the three-time All-Star for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Frank Thomas we showed you unfortunately was also a former pro baseball player. He is very much alive. We apologize for that mistake”

He left as a broadcaster on the Fox News recently in 2023 when Derek Jeter took his position. Now, this former amazing Baseball player appears on other channels primarily on Apple+.

How That Mistake Happened?

It certainly happened on a big news channel. The main reason is they mistaken him for Frank Thomas who played MLB from 1951 to 1966 primarily for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He passed away on January 16, 2023, at the age of 93. The Hall of Fame birth happened after two years of Thomas’s career.

On the other hand, Frank Thomas (The Big Hurt an infielder) played mainly for the Chicago White Sox a career spanned from 1990 to 2008. Moreover, he is a Two Times AL MVP and won a World Series in 2005. He has 521 home runs. He was and still is a phenomenon person.
