The Beatles, a household name of the 60s United Kingdom and America, made a strong comeback last year with the release of “Now and Then” after five decades of their split. The song features 1977 John Lennon official vocals, which were preserved using the AI (Artificial Intelligence).

During the 2025 Grammy Awards, The Beatles song “Now and then” was awarded the Best Rock Performance award. The last Grammy Award was won by Fab Four back in 1997. They took home three trophies that year. The band won it’s first Grammy Award at the 7th Grammy Awards. The Beatles have won eight Grammy Awards out of a total 27 nominations.
Sean Ono Lennon, son of late John, accepted the Grammy Award on the behalf of The Beatles at the Grammys Premiere Ceremony, a pre-show event where awards were handed out to the winners.
In the band Grammy’s win speech, Sean stated: “The Beatles have done such incredible work, and they’re still in the culture and people still listen to the music. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the greatest band of all time.”
After winning the Grammy Award, the band’s official YouTube channel shared the excitement of the “Last Beatles song” release around the world, the video was recorded back on November 2023. They further stated: “It’s release became a cultural moment in history, uniting listeners around the world in a shared music experience as the band released their final single.”
After John Lennon’s death in 1980, the song was preserved and following the third union of The Beatles with the release of The Beatles Anthology, following “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” in 1995-96. It was a sure thing that “Now and then” will be made public by remaining band members.
It didn’t happen in late 90s due to some uncertainties. For almost five decades, the song was shelved. On November 3, 2023. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr released the song using George Harrison guitar tracks and John’s vocals, while also adding their new instrumentation.
On Instagram, Ringo stated: “Wow, another Grammy. Well, done everybody,” Ringo wrote. “I send you peace and love. That’s right the beat goes on. thanks, peace and love Ringo.”
